2014 Xin nian kuaile!

光阴似箭  ‘Time flies like an arrow’ is a Chinese idiom, and most languages have a similar phrase or saying.   This past year has rushed by at breakneck speed and here we are again on New Year’s Eve.  This is always a time for catching one’s breath, thinking about past years and about the new year which lies ahead- unsullied, pure, a blank page on which we can write whatever we want.

Past experience leads me to think I should not make too many resolutions as usually after a month or two my resolve fizzles out and reality kicks in. Sad but true.                                All I will do is look forward with hope and enthusiasm and try to do better.

2014 dateI send my warmest best wishes for a Happy, Healthy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year to all those who read my blog, and look forward to having you read it regularly in 2014!
